Welcome Parents!
Strasburg Franklin Local Schools wants to help provide information and links for parents. Our goal is to partner with you in serving all students.
IDEA
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (https://sites.ed.gov/idea) provides for a free, appropriate public education for all individuals with disabilities between the ages of 3 and 21. Strasburg Local Schools provide services in accordance with Ohio's Model Policies and Procedures for the Education of Children with Disabilities.
CHILD FIND
Child Find is the process of identifying, locating and evaluating all children from age three to twenty-one who may have a disability and be in need of special education and related services. The district seeks to identify, through Child Find, all children in the Strasburg Local Schools who attend public or non-public school in the district, or who are homeless or wards of the state, who may be in need of special education and related services.
If you know of a child who may have a suspected disability, including preschool-age children, please contact Matt Carpenter, Director of Pupil Services at 330 878 5571.
